RENCANA LIBURAN MOCI

JAMAL AHDAN TAUFIK

NO MEANS NO

KEIRA KEANA

Kata-kata tercatat akan aku susun menjadi kata besar ‘NO’.

FALSECITY

KINANTI SASONGKO & NALIKA ARSA

Click here to visit our instagram!

MAKA DOLLS

MAKAI

Four clay figures that will be made as a representative way of gender expressions, this project will be bringing issues related to Trans people, LGBTQIA, stereotypes of each genders made my partiarchy and also cis gendered people's way of expressing themselves through their clothing. We people are pushed to look a certain way to society. That ‘certain way’ usually comes with standards that are pushed into these stereotypes of each person’s gender. Whether it’s assigned gender at birth or not, stereotypes exist in many different forms. These days, emerging small brands are becoming bigger and bigger, as they approach fashion with fluidity. Creating clothing that is gender neutral will make a safe environment for everyone. Not only that but putting the effort to hire gender neutral people creating fashion across all genders makes a clear path of neutrality within the brand, and creates trust with consumers. In this project, I am making a limited collection of figurines. I hope that the people who sees it will feel close and have a tiny companion dressed just like themselves. With this, I'd hope to make a safe place for anyone and everyone to explore their gender identity and expression in life. Currently there has been some holdbacks from the production, so i am only able to present to you the character sketches and background for this project. Though, as this project main point was to experiment with mediums, I will be continuing this as my FMP (Final Major Project).Presenting, Max, Jonathan, Vinny, and Robin as the main characters for this project! stay tuned for the finished product on offline exhibition ^^

ENGULFED

NADASJA CHANTAL ALEXANDRA

How would you fight against three deadly monsters from another world?Engulfed is a story presented through four A2 soft pastel drawings and poems. It follows a young woman running away from her problems and waking up in a different world filled with dangerous creatures that want to prey on her. Help her live by finding a way to defeat the three monsters: Outsider, Noise, and Texture! This project is about being overwhelmed and Nadasja chose monsters as a representation of the factors that can lead us to being overwhelmed. These factors include being surrounded by strangers, loud noises, and the sense of being touched by textures that irritate you. The project was made by Nadasja so people can be vulnerable and share their experiences with being overwhelmed and help others out in the process.

NUMBSKULLZ

NADEEN MUSKITA

I chose Webtoon because it is one of the most popular apps for reading and making comics. The reason why I always wanted to make a webcomic is because it was my goal when I was young, so everyone can view my art and stories. The genre will be Comedy and Drama because most of my stories are related to that, i like to make silly things with my characters but serious stories at the same time like every drama shows. For this project i use Ipad pro and stylus pen, i will draw digitally on Procreate and write my scripts on my notepad, once i finished it i post it on Webtoon.

EM–BRACE

NISRINA NURAHMADHINA SYAHPUTRI

A painting that represents my inner self loathing, through my experience being disabled but able to do so much but still there's a limit to it.
Long story short, I have a condition called scoliosis.
Scoliosis (pronounced sko-lee-o-sis) is a three-dimensional abnormality that occurs when the spine becomes rotated and curved sideways. It affects your back spine structure to abnormal curves that's unusual to what a normal spine would look like. Worst case scenario it could crush your organs due to the weight of the spine that bends with the ribcage. To prevent any further damage the only solution is to do a big operation. In many cases not all patients are 100% cured. You have to go through physiotherapy on a regular basis, drink medicine, and don't move too much. Or there's a plan B that is to go on spine therapy, wear a corset to hold your posture. In all of those decisions there's no right or wrong answers, it all ends the same.My motive is to spread positivity and to the viewer to see my painting as a self acceptance that illustrates the frustration, angger, sadness that I'm going through.

EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPE

PEDRO SORANA

In this project I share stories about people through the medium of photography. I was inspired by The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows, a book written by John Koenig. In this book he defines universal emotions that don't have an official name. And one of the expressions he defined is sonder. To his definition, sonder means the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complicated as your own populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, and worries, a story that continues invisibly around you, with connections to thousands of other lives that you’ve never known existed, in which you might appear only once.I found that expression really interesting and it gave me the idea to interview people about their lives and share them in this project. And by doing that I hope to show how different and complex everyone's lives are but also hope to help people reflect on their own lives.Curug pic caption (First):Two years ago during the heights of covid, my father was sick and had to get a heart surgery but I couldn't go home to be with him due to covid and the country's borders being closed, and even if I could, I might not be able to return back to my family because of the border issue. But surprisingly, this experience has left a really positive impact on me Holy Spirit retreat I went to.In one of the sessions of that retreat, two people prayed for me. They put their hands on my shoulder and prayed for my father and me. I found peace instantly. Peace that is hard to explain. The kind of that peace that is not because there are changes in my situation but because the peace has been given to me despite my situation. I felt how caring strangers can be during my toughest times as they prayed for me. I realized that although I can only pray, that is the most important thing.Flower pic caption (Second):Dunia seperti penuh bunga, rasanya ingin tersenyum terus, saat ku pertama kali jatuh cinta dengaan kekasih hati yang sekarang jadi istriku, perasaan ini seperti habis menang lottery dengan hadiah miliyaran.Moon pic caption (Third) :When I was a kid I used to have a dog named Boni. My grandmother gave him to me. Coming home from school, I always looked for and played with him. After days of being ill Boni died and I never thought of taking him to a vet because It wasn't something common back then. I was shocked when my parents told me what happened, and I sobbed for weeks. The feeling of great loss has made me determined not to have another pet ever since

RELATE

PUTI KOYUKI RENOL

I'm about to make home cafe-style beverages where they'll all be made by myself. But I'm mostly using butterfly peas for most of the base for all beverages. Home cafe accounts are one part of the trends that keeps it going, even until now. I'm only focusing on one base for all of the drinks which will be made soon, because I want to try "complicated" steps little by little and also to minimize overpricing as well.I'm about to make home cafe-style beverages where they'll all be made by myself. But I'm mostly using butterfly peas for most of the base for all beverages. Home cafe accounts are one part of the trends that keeps it going, even until now. I'm only focusing on one base for all of the drinks which will be made soon, because I want to try "complicated" steps little by little and also to minimize overpricing as well.I chose this kind of project, because I have always had an interest in making stuff, especially food and drinks. I really love the aesthetics in most beverage-making, since I'll be able to enjoy the colors of the beverage and the motions of pouring the whole ingredients into one. I want to make a beverage where you can enjoy the visuals and taste the drink at the same time. Butterfly pea originates from most regions of Southeast Asia, but also has been spread to Africa, Australia, and the Americas. It has several other names for butterfly pea, such as Asian pigeonwings, bluebellvine, blue pea, cordofan pea, Darwin pea, blue ternate. It is used mostly in teas, but can also vary to a variety of flavors. Such as latte, lemonades, squashes, and more.

NOSTALGIC CLAY FIGURE

RIFKI KUSMANA

I wanted to make a clay figurine of one of my characters for a while, this will be useful to learn about character modeling on clay and how to do it. Clay has always been interesting to me due to the clay figurines I saw as a child.I've found the texture and malleability of clay to be interesting. This is the third concept I did for this semester, the first didn’t really work out due to it being too big in project scope, the second idea was really really boring and not challenging, this project will hopefully be worth doing

MY ORIGINAL CHARACTER

DUA-DUA

ALIYA KHAIRUNNISA

FEVER DREAM

CALYSTA LIE

This illustration pictures a girl with a pink dress named Anggun, standing over a glowing pool filled with fishes and rusty pipes. Her friend Natajaya is walking behind her, in this unfamiliar place with fog everywhere, broken buildings overgrown with wild trees and vines, decorated with glowing water pipes filled with fishes. This illustration is a part of a short comic depicting a fever dream that is available to read in my Instagram @drafru. For this illustration, i’ve taken inspiration from the manga “Hakumei to Mikochi” by Takuto Kashiki and “Lily system” by Yoshitomi Akihito.

LOOK AT HOW FAR YOU'VE COME

JESSLYN BATYA LOEN

Jess' project is a 1 minute and 30 seconds animatic with no audio and the maximum quality of it is 720p. This animatic was made fully digitally with textures and techniques that mirror the likes of a collage on paper. It's all about their self confidence, the people who keep them going, and how they’ve moved on slightly from my past. With that, they also want to encourage helping others who may be troubled like they was and help them up to their feet since that’s something their friends did for them. A little kindness can go a long way.

THE ADVENTURES OF KAMA & HALLIE

KAMAHELE RAHADIAN

FEMINISM THROUGH POTTERY

MANUELLA AZIZA

My project is a continuation of my project last term, it is a series of pottery pieces with a feminism theme 'My Body My Choice'. I made functional pottery pieces to act as an inspiration to anyone who sees the pieces to speak up for women."My body my, choice" is a slogan that is meant to represent the idea of personal bodily autonomy, bodily integrity and freedom of choice. Bodily autonomy constitutes self determination over one's own body without external domination. Bodily integrity emphasizes the importance of personal autonomy, self-ownership, and the self-determination of human beings over their own bodies. Freedom of choice describes an individual's opportunity and autonomy to perform an action selected from at least two available options, without being forced by external parties.
According to Suzannah Weiss, the slogan, "My body, my choice" is a feminist idea which can applicable to women's reproductive rights and other women's rights issues. It is also the opposite to treating women's bodies like property, and talks about the importance of consent. Rameeza Ahmad describes how the Pakistani version of "my body, my choice," is important to feminists because it is important for women to know they have control over their own bodies. Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner writes that while it seems simple that women's freedom is linked to women's own control and decisions about their own bodies, in practice the slogan of 'My body, my choice' is too often changed to mean of "not really your body, not really your choice." and women's rights like access to birth control, abortion, and reproductive health are attacked.

CHARACTER DESIGN

MARIA LIVIANEY ROSA

This is my main project and well truth is that the background of this project is just the bits and pieces of me working on a series i've been working on slowly by making the character designs first for the sake of keeping consistency admittedly it's not fully done but to an extent i can show. It's pretty much a digital artwork of the character designs that i've made so far, nothing too complicated some of them are about the size of 1500x1197 pixels and another being 2000x1600 pixels in size i think. The majority of the character designs was just main characters for a series and their opinions to one another while another spread of sheet is more less on that group of characters and more of another kind of well characters for another series.

ANXIETY RING

MASAYU NAIRA

NIRMANA: BETWEEN TWO LINES

MUHAMMAD RAIHAN TEGAR

Raihan has made this artwork to proof his parents he can do anything that he could and get out of his comfort zone to make something more crazier and go beyond his ability.

MENSTRUAL POVERTY

RAFEYFA ATTASYA

As a woman myself i feel like it's our job to liberate other women. Everything is evolving but our rights for women rights. There are still women out there who do not have the ability to access tampons/pads & other menstrual needs because of the increase in price and the decrease of production. My artwork represents women who is less fortunate to get their hands on menstrual products. The red sand flowing over the hands represents the blood flowing down women's hands.

KHANSA'S ECO PRINT

KHANSA ATHIRA

For this project, I did eco prints that I made into useful items that people can use on a daily basis. Eco printing is a technique that transfers plant color and shape onto cloth. I chose eco print because I want to experience something interesting and fun. I also don’t want to be wasteful and I use all of the items properly to limit down my trash and help save the environment. The meaning of this project is so I can show people how easy it is to use safe materials and how to make a use of it. I used items that can limit down plastic and other materials that can ruin the environment. I also gave out the final piece of my eco prints to people close to me so that they can make a use of it and not waste the environment. I also hope that you guys can limit down your plastic uses and not to waste money on useless items that may ruin the environment so please care about the environment.

DIGITAL BOOK (PROTOTYPE)

RAZIEL MOSHA CZERULLIO

Concept of the project is i'm making a digital book about our past projects (me and my friends in smp). The purpose of this project is to create memories about what have we created during our first year in SMP.

CLAY COASTER

SYDNEY ARA SETAWAN

I’m making a Clay coaster. Clay is a natural soil material containing clay minerals. I’m making coasters because I don't have many coasters in my house and we use tissues and so that I could have less tissues as trash.I make this design to be 'related' to the topic "trust in humanity”. I think it's connected because if this situation (burning building) happens we unconsciously' put a lot of trust in humanity, For example:- The victims trust the firemans to save them
- the victim's family and friend trust the news people to get as much infos they can get
- landowner trusted the architect to make the building save
- etc.

ENGULFED

NADASJA CHANTAL ALEXANDRA

My artworks revolve around expressing the darker parts of the human emotions through visual metaphors. In this project, I bring up the experience of being overwhelmed and how it can be more extreme than we acknowledge it to be.I created three monsters as a representation of the different factors that can overwhelm us: stranger’s judgements, loud noises, and textures on our skin. I hope that people can understand the feeling of being overwhelmed more easily through scary imagery mixed in with realistic feelings.By using soft pastels on A2 paper, I hoped to bring out vivid colours that can stand out to the eye while simultaneously blending in with each other, mixing in messiness and unpredictability with being tidy. I wanted to show how being overwhelmed can look like it’s nothing, until you zoom in and inspect the tiny details. I also used poems as a way to convey a narrative story so the audience can be more attached, and also to give a guide to the audience as to what the drawings could mean but still leaving enough vague metaphors so that people can interpret their own meaning and project themselves to my works. The reason I made this project is so that people can be vulnerable and share their experiences to the world if they want to. This was inspired by some people online who could share very personal and sensitive experiences about themselves because they felt like they were in an environment where people could understand and support them. I hope to create the same environment where people who are overwhelmed can relate to my drawings and poems, thus sharing their experiences and be there for others in the same boat.

EM-BRACE

NISRINA NURAMADHINA SYAHPUTRI

My name is Nisrina Nuramadhina Syahputri but you can simply call me nasya. my project this year that i will be working on is a painting of a skeleton looking downwards in a crouching position. The story behind the skeleton is from my rare condition called scoliosis. Known through the abnormality of your back bone that occurred from birth or tragic accident. In my case it happens naturally for me. For some reason my back started to ache more easily even when sitting down. I can feel that my body is trying hard to stabilize my posture in a straight line but to no avail. In the healing process there are two choices that have to be made. One is to do a big operation that is not guaranteed success in the long run. And option two is spine therapy on a daily basis that gradually shapes the spine structure back into place but not a hundred percent straight. We all face different challenges in our livelihood no matter how big or small your burden may be. It's a definition that you're strong willingly to live your life to the fullest and experience the joy surrounded with your friends and families. Through your hard work and dedication that you endure through your triumph it will be replaced with a reward one day.My goal is to spread a word of encouragement through my painting EM-BRACE. As the title says embrace your true self starting with you. What purpose do you have in life? Through your sacrifices? It's all up to you to decide.

RELATE

PURI ALIYA MAHARANI

My name is Puri Aliya Maharani you can call me Puri I'm currently in high school grade 2, I love making art and crafting. The work that I created is a A4 drawing that describe a woman who does not pay attention to what is around her、but the woman only focuses on her cellphone. This work is about a relation and connection between me and the audience who sees my work, this work inspired by the situation of myself, by raising the issue of our need to be aware of anything surround us.Why? Surely we all like to play our phones in the car accompanying the boredom of traveling in the car while on vacation and almost all the time on the trip that we spend most of us not paying attention to what is around us and or what we pass during the trip. nature's contact with the human senses. comes from the word experience, for someone to know and the result of knowing this is then called knowledge, In the world of work the term experience is also used to refer to knowledge and skills about something that is gained through involvement in or related to it over a certain period. In general, experience refers to knowing how or procedural knowledge, rather than propositional knowledge. Knowledge based on experience is also known as empirical knowledge or posteriori knowledge. A person with a fair amount of experience in a particular field is called an expert. So it is hoped that all of us, especially myself, can pay more attention to the surrounding environment and be more sensitive to the situation. The process of making these art work isn't challenge because the material I use is clay and crayon which I have use before but haven't created any project with it, that's why on this opportunity moments I have eventually made these incredible work.

MAKA DOLLS

KAYLA AVICENNA MAKARIM

The expression of gender can be quite a tough subject for some people. It can be as flexible as a rubber, or hard as a brick. I’ve made a project concerning the gender expression of each type of common person, hoping it would be a safe space for any kind of humans that need a friend for how they represent to the world. I’ve had a pretty flexible way of expressing myself through my clothing, but alas, I do have my own journey finding the perfect image of how I look. In a sense, creating this project is also creating a safe space for me too. Fashion has a wide range of clothing, it’s not always men that use masculine clothing nor not always women that wear feminine clothing. Expression is a free way of creating the perfect you in your eyes and showing the world the real you. This project is considered an experiment project as I focus more on the way I research and experiment on mediums. As a starting point, my chosen medium was air-dry clay. After a while of testing and twisting, I've come to the point of changing into polymer clay, that is an oven-baked type of clay. Realizing I have less to zero experience in making figures I’ve come to the point of giving up, hand all bruised from twisting all the wires into tiny shapes. Trying to find another way I’ve made a breakthrough of creating watercolor paintings instead. It does help me better and I’ve come to terms with creating what’s fun to me, in the end I did both.I’ve never had such conflicting and new ups and downs experience creating a project before. So far it’s been a great experience for me. The background of creating this project started from how obsessed I am with collecting figures. I connected that interest with my other interest, that is my huge admiration for trans people to fully transform flexibly into another persona. As a person who feels comfortable expressing myself as gender-fluid, it is in my scope of view to create something that other people could relate to. Not only trans people but also cis gendered and anyone that has a huge longing to find their truest self.I hope you can feel close to the four characters that I have made,
each with their own personality and expression.

EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPE

PEDRO SORANA

I’ve always liked listening to stories about other people. Small memories that are important to them but insignificant to someone else. This project Emotional Landscape talks about those stories through the medium of photography. I got this idea from ‘The Dictionary of Obscure sorrows’ a book written by John Koenig. In this book, John defines universal emotions that don't have an official name, and one of the emotions he defined is sonder. To his definition, sonder means the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complicated as your own populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, and worries, a story that continues invisibly around you, with connections to thousands of other lives that you’ve never known existed, in which you might appear only once.I found that expression really interesting and it gave me the idea to interview people about their lives and share them through this project. By doing that I hope to show how different and complex everyone's lives are but also hope to help people reflect on their own lives.Because these aren't my own experiences when making these photographs, I try to see things from the survey responders point of view in order to provide a good interpretation. I also used editing to highlight the emotion felt in their story. For instance, in the waterfall photo, I added a glowing effect to give a sense of godliness and spirituality because that was the most prominent emotion in their response. With the flower photo, I added a blurry and noisy filter to give it a romantic and dreamy feel. And with the moon photo, the light from the moon in the darkness gives a feeling of loneliness and grief.

NUMBSKULLZ

NADEEN MUSKITA

My name is Nadeen Muskita, and I'm an artist who enjoys drawing. For this project i make a comic series with my own characters to tell stories for people to see. My webcomic "Numbskullz” is about a group of friends doing hilarious things to make my viewers laugh. I do it all on my iPad Pro with my stylus pen and occasionally write scripts on my notepad and when i’m done, I post all my comic series on Webtoon so everyone on the globe can see my work. My goal in this project is to become well-known for my stories and, hopefully, to make money. The story is about Kevin, a 28-year-old man from Malvto, who has the ability to regenerate quickly, making him practically immortal. Almost everyone in town has known him since he was a teenager, and most people, even his roommates, believe he's annoying and crazy, each day of his life, he would cause troubles for him and his friends, and as a result of his antics, almost everyone, including the Grim Reaper himself, wants him dead. In other words, it's about an immortal man who wants to live a happy life while others want to shut him down. Despite the fact that he irritates many people, he still tries to fix the problems. Even though he can't die, he tries his hardest to live a great and joyful life like everyone else. I believe it has something to do with my problems from a long time ago, when I used to annoy people and they became unhappy with me. I just felt it was a fun way to meet people, and even though I harmed some people, including my friends, I tried my hardest to improve myself and learn from my mistakes. I just hope that all who read it will understand my message; despite the comedy, I want my stories to be deep and significant to others.I was inspired by several wonderful comic artists during this project; I was obsessed with their art styles and story ideas, and it made me want to be like them. I'm a beginner , so I teach myself how to make stories from movies and the internet. It helps a lot with feedback and criticism from friends and family, which helps me develop. I've written a lot of screenplays to get one narrative right to display, because I want people to enjoy my debut comic. I’ve finished a few episodes to show my comic and I learned a lot in the process. At first, I believed it was just about drawing and not writing. I thought that the plot didn't matter as long as you could draw well, but I was wrong. People are interested in the stories, so I learn how to create better stories, I practice drawing panels and scripts on my own by looking at other comics, and I also learn how to make better drawings to fit my comic. After all of that, I'm still learning. I'm glad I chose this project because it helps me to try something new after a long time.

MY ORIGINAL CHARACTER

STEPHANIE PUTRI WIJAYA

For this project, it’s about my 4 main OC’s that I recreated. This project is actually a glass painting type, and it's actually my first time making this kind of project but not the first time when it comes to OC type.In this project, I use a brush, a paint for acrylic/glass, a permanent marker, and acrylic. The first thing I do is draw the 4 OC digital art, after the digital art version is done, I trace those drawings to the acrylics with the marker and then I paint them, then the glass painting of my OCs are finished. As for the OCs, here are their name and the explanation of each OC:
Yamashita Kayo
This OC is a model and she’s also came from a really well known family. She's also shy. This OC model is changed because of how she really look like Tifa from final fantasy so i decided to change her design a bit.
Macey
This Oc is a really kind girl, but has a huge family problem. This OC might have a lot of issues that have something to do with mental health.
Christina
This OC is a really cool girl who’s everyone likes because of her positive vibe and her kindness. Fun fact, this OC is my first OC that actually has a really happy backstory.
Yoshida Masashi
This OC used to be in a motorcycle gang, but he chose to quit the gang because of his interest to become a guitarist.
I decided to do a glass painting of my OC because I want to revive my OCs that I haven't used in such a long time because I almost forgot about them. And I do glass painting because I wanted to try them out, it was hard but I was able to paint them, even with the help of a friend.

pH 12

PUTI KOYUKI RENOL

There is always an interest where I produce beverages and special types of food, but it does not happen very often. Now I want to create a brand where I can sell those beverages so that they are available to everyone, not just me and the individuals in my close surroundings. The name "pH-12" comes from one of the levels to which a butterfly pea can progress. I got the name concept from a journal website I came across when doing research for my project at the start. My project's title is a great way to kick decision, as I had another name in mind, 'Ad Mare,' which means 'to the sea' in Italian. It had a great name in my opinion. I chose it because the sea is exactly the same color as the butterfly pea tea, but I realized it wasn't as easy to pronounce as 'pH-12.' So I went with 'pH-12,' which was available on the journal's website, as I previously stated. This idea, I believe, is a significant step toward turning my pastime into a brand identity. I'm hoping that this project will be one of the few opportunities for me to learn how digital marketing works and that I will be able to identify people enjoying the refreshment of drinks after a long day of work.Blue and black are my primary colors, with a bit of white thrown in for good measure. The aesthetic is mostly simple, with few elements. The poster I created during the process is flowing and water-like, with bubble-like shapes, and is most likely blue and white. I decided that blue and white go together better than black, so I took it out of my palette.Because it is more about creating and selling beverages than just branding, I will most likely have to learn by doing. I am a little more talented in graphic design between preparing beverages and designing posters, though I am continuously learning and trying out different aesthetics throughout my portfolio full of those posters.

HOW ARE YOU

DELVIANA DASCHA

My main issue for this work is about emotions. I used to have trouble expressing my emotions to others and thinking about them not wanting to listen to my problems. So to convey I use writing to help me, and I want others who have the same struggle as me to try writing as a method to convey their problems.I use postcards as my medium for this project. There are 6 illustrations about Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Embarrassment, and Love. These 6 emotions that I always have a hard time conveying that's why i pick these 6 to be illustrateFor me illustration can help you to visualize something that seems hard to conceive. Abstract and with a bit of a fantasy style are the references that I use to make my illustrations. These postcards can be sent via the available delivery service, so if you want to send to your friend overseas or out of town , these postcards can be used for shipping. And I hope these illustrations that I make can help you with it.

FALSECITY

NALIKA ARSA

Namaku Nalika Arsa.

BENEDIKTA EUFRASIA KINANTI SASONGKO
